“Orphan”12AX7A USA – Closely Matched Sections – Tested on Hickock 533A
This 12AX7A is an “Orphan”.
The tube envelope has been “cleaned” leaving no trace of manufacturer.
12AX7A and USA are etched into the glass.
While used, this tube checks nicely. (ECC83 7025)
Tube has short, ribbed plates.
Getter is round.
Tested on my Hickock 533A, the two sections measure 1300 and 1325 umhos.
This is a 98% match for the two sections. The expected value for a factory “new” 12AX7A is 1250 umhos.
