Superb GEORGIAN GILT SILVER & PASTE Pin Pendant w/ BAROQUE PEARL DROP

Description

This rare survior from the GEORGIAN ERA still shimmers and sparkles after almost 200 years! I took photos under several different light sources to show the superb condition.  I purchased this at an antique show over 30 years ago.   The chain came with it, although, after researching Georgian jewelry, I believe it originally had a detachable paste strand to match the stones on the pin/pendant.  The pin measures 2 1/8" wide x 2 3/8" long and, amazingly, retains its original pinback with C clasp.   There are 2 small hooks near the top of the pin to attach a  chain, necklace, or to affix to a dress.  When the chain is attached, the pin becomes an elegant 15" choker necklace. The pin and chain tested positive for silver, the pearl is genuine, all paste stones appear to be genuine to the piece.  All stones are uniform in color and clarity - there is no solder or damaged areas on this piece.  This piece has not been cleaned - it has tarnish.  I leave all cleaning and polishing up to the new owner.   I could find no hallamrks on this piece.  Condition is excellent.
