    Description

Today I am selling a lovely converted Georgian mourning stick pin. Orange coral cabochons in bezel settings form a border around a braided lock of brunette hair in a glazed compartment. The gold filled rectangular top was most likely a small brooch in its original life. The gold plated pin is a later addition, but is straight and sharp, although the tip is slightly bent.
CONDITION: Very good for its age. All coral cabs are intact with no chips or cracks, but a couple do have natural flaws. Minor scratches and discoloring to the glass covering the hair. Slight tarnish to the gold filled metal, mostly on the back. As stated in the description, the tip of the pin is bent.
CIRCA: Late Georgian era (early 1800s)
MEASUREMENTS: Top is 3/4 of an inch tall and 5/8 of an inch at its widest, full length is 3 1/16 inches
