JJ Tea Party Collectibles
purchase I made back in 2002. A complete run of gorgeous NEWSSTAND issues of Sports Illustrated from 1954 through 1966. Nearly all were in unread condition. As if the guy walked to a newsstand, bought one every week, then put each in a box and kept them in pristine condition for many, many years.
A lot of these have been sold since then, but I held onto several that appear that they have never even been opened before muchless been read, such as this one. It's been sitting in a magazine box for the past 18 years. Today is the first time it's seen the light of day, and the magazine has never been opened by me.
January 25, 1965 Sports Illustrated, NHL's Bobby Hull on the cover, NO LABEL newsstand issue, unread condition. The spine is very tight, the staples are intact and shining as if brand new. Also, and I am assuming, that there are no loose pages, no creases, no folded pages, no water stains, no signs of paper exposed to humidity, no writings, rips nor torn pages inside, since I have said above, I have never opened this magazine.
By the way, the lower right hand corner of the cover is "knife-like" sharp. It's not rounded as it appears in the photo. If you look at an enlarged view you can see it's fine. The top right is not as sharp.
