Alloys with a higher gold content will have a color that is more saturated and yellow. In contrast,
lower-karat alloys will look paler in comparison.
VERY OLD watch fab charm pendant with a Carnelian (not 100 pct sure) stone wax seal. I don't give any guarantees that this is indeed a Carnelian stone.
Purchased in the UK - was dated to late Georgian era 1714-1837 to very ear
    ly Victorian
    1837-1901
Use of watch fobs with seals:
Fobs were short straps, ribbons, tassels, or chains. A fob attached to a watch carried in the pocket of a waistcoat on the man's right side. Seals were engraved gold or other metal medallions attached to fobs, used
for marking a person's signature impression in sealing wax for important documents or other correspondence
    , or purely for ornamentation.
    Unmarked
(means not stamped for gold) but was tested for 9-10 K
gold (see above for info about alloys)
Rose gold (the rose gold color is not very red-ish but is rather
    light in color
    - the gold is definitely not very yellow)
Has initials (I cannot decipher them)
    Size
    approx.
    2 centimeters high (0.79") -
    across wax seal
at bottom approx. 1.2 centimeters (0.47")
    Weighs
    approx.
    4.9 grams (see scale)
    Weight and measurements are always
    approximate
and taken to the best of my abilities.
PLEASE CHECK PICTURES FOR SCALE AND SIZE:
    -  on the measuring tape (inches), in my hands (I am female). Compare the stated measurements and the weight to a charm you own.
I am very precise but I cannot be blamed if you don't read!
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF G_D
(or whatever is holy to you):  (and I am not exaggerating this happens OVER AND OVER AND OVER: YOU, the bidder,
    'FORGETTING'
TO READ the measurements cannot and is NOT my fault but YOURS (not is it a reason for a return). If you cannot visualize 1 centimeter then I urge you to take out a measuring tape and check for yourself.
    Condition
is antique late Georgian early Victorian -  obviously pre-owned, used, worn. Item is 170+ years old
with the usual scratches and wear.
It is a wonderful antique item but in no way shape or form new as new, close to new or anything else.
    It is
    bent
    - see pictures.
Due to its age I would leave it as-is.
It's a great charm or pendant, no doubt.  Normal wear for an item of this age (pls do not bid if you plan to argue this point but rather check all the pictures. I'll gladly take more)
Please have realistic expectations. Check ALL PICTURES, use the Zoom feature.
ALL VINTAGE / ANTIQUE ITEMS HAVE BEEN USED AND ARE SOLD IN THE CONDITION SHOWN AND AS IS.
Please refer to the pictures as they are part of the description. Item has NOT been cleaned (as a side note: I never clean any of the vintage or antique charms in order to preserve their patina but leave it up to the buyer to do as he/she deems fit)
Pictures were taken with an Iphon* - no filters no alterations no enhancements used - around 11 AM in broad daylight. Colors might display differently on your screen or you might perceive the colors differently. Either way, I decline ANY AND ALL responsibility.
Please check ALL pictures and ask all questions. NO RETURNS.
No gift box but nicely and securely packaged and always fully  insured
