    Description

From tenured Rudys-CJs in Findlay Ohio is a rare (but typical to Rudy's) never rusted,1982 Jeep CJ7 Laredo from Waco Texas in the awesome original retro color scheme of Chestnut brown metallic w Nutmeg interior.
Relisted with 0 lower price as last buyer couldn't get financing without me fudging his purchase price to cover hid "deposit".  He told me keep his deposit and I'm passing that savings on to you.
This CJ is a good investment as it has all its original metal including the incredibly hard to still have correct no rib windshield frame that is correct for 82 and older Jeep CJs.
    It runs and drives properly.
This Laredo had one quality repaint back to it's original color due to fading and stone chips from the towing.  The correct original USA made decals were professionally reapplied.
The engine bay (including the top of the grill where the engine sticker is) and wheel wells are original paint without undercoating to hide patchwork.  The frame is still factory black.  The floors are all original paint w light topcoating at driver and pass floor to cover where the original paint had been understandably scuffed away from use.  The underside is not slathered with undercoating to hide issues.
All rare and desirable Laredo features are present and in better than expected condition like: oem chrome front grill cover, bumper and rear bumperettes, Leather steering wheel and grab bar, side steps, rocker trim, working OEM clock and tachometer, underhood light, console, 5 15x7 wheels w center caps and correct Laredo badging on the glove box.
The 3 seats are original and beautifully recovered using the original stripes and done very well and correct.
If you buy a Laredo without some of these items you really do not have a complete Jeep and there are no equivalent substitutes nor are originals cheap or easy to come by....especially those nutmeg seats.
The Steel dash is original and not cut for an aftermarket square radio.
The original 258 engine runs properly and shows signs of overhaul but there are no receipts.  The engine bay is very clean.  The problematic plastic valve cover was replaced with a stamped one that says Jeep which costs twice as much as any other stamper valve cover.  The T4 manual transmission and Dana 300 transfer case all work like they should and this drives well.
The 1982 CJ is a nice year as many of them had less emissions than the 83 and newer ones and are prone to a simpler engine bay.  This makes it is easier to work on, easier to maintain and it looks much better than all the vacuum hoses used on the highly emissioned Jeeps.  This carburetor is NOT electronically controlled by a technologically challenged 1980s ECU on top of the heater box.  1982 is also the first year of widetrac differentials.  It is a great year for a classic Cj for all of these reasons.
Everything works.  Every gauge, light, indicator works and is original...no Chinese replacement gauges.
Stock suspension w 5 nice properly sized 31"x10.50r15 All terrain tires on very nice original 15x7 wheels and center caps.
Mileage shown is 143k but is actually less and not actual as this Jeep was towed and the odometer turns even though the Jeep isn't being driven.  This said, that IS the original 6 digit odometer that all 82 and newer Jeeps CJs came with that in fact does have a hundred thousands mile digit.
This Jeep comes as shown but all tops and door options can be made available for additional money.
Shipping is easy for me.  Local inspections and pick-ups are welcomed and preferred.
Calls are welcomed and preferred to 614-203-1947 and of course this Jeep is for sale on my website of www.rudys-cJs.com.  PS...there's more Jeeps on there too.  Some listed, Some not.
Why would a serious buyer message about this much money if they could talk with the owner?
    Thank you for reading.
    Rudy
