1980 Cessna Cutlass RG 172RG Information Manual.  D1174-13 Printed 7/90 per the title page.  This slightly newer, sound factory information manual is in good enough used condition.  This book has been damp, it is lumpy, and it is stained.  The front cover is rather clean and shiny, albeit somewhat worn. and it is lumpy and a bit stained from moisture, and there is a respectable crease at the bottom right corner.  This crease has been stiffened and reinforced with the application of a piece of clear packing tape over the crease on the inside front cover.  The rear cover is rather nice and clean and shiny and mostly unabused, but there are some imprints on the back.  The front cover was beginning to split at the bottom of the spine, so I have again repaired and reinforced the covers and the bottom of the spine with a piece of clear packing tape.  Most of the lumpiness is towards the front half of the book, and the stains are mostly on the outside corners.  There is a former owner's name at the top of page i, and a small tear and wrinkling at the bottom of page i.  I have repaired the small tear with a piece of Scotch tape.  There is a pen circle on page 4-16, and tiny itty-bitty pen marks on pages 6-11 and 6-12.  That is it.  That's plenty.  All shown in the photos.  There is no other writing or markings, no highlighting, no loose or missing pages.  The spine has not been cracked or broken as is so often the case with these manuals.  The corners are still pretty sharp and the book lays fairly flat.  See the photos.  Yes, this one likely stayed jammed in the bottom of a damp kitbag once, but this book is still quite sound and complete and quite legible, and it's ready to be studied.  That a close look, it is really not that bad for a 31 year old manual that got a little wet.  Always check for revisions, supplements, and updates with vintage manuals.
